We are to set our minds on the heavenly land. All of the people we have talked about only looked forward because behind them was not the truth, but the old things. Noah stepped out in faith and left everything.
When we step out in our walk when we step out in our belief we can't think back to the old life. We need to let go of the ties that pull us back and look forward to God’s promise.
Stepping out in faith is not looking back but to look forward to what is to come.
Hebrews 11:13-16
13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one.
